‘Tis the season of examining the core flab and deciding that, ‘Enough. This is it.  Bulgy Bits Begone!’  And so the decision made and the annual battle of the bulge commences.  Clothes bulge, fitness classes bulge, gym membership bulges.  Trainers are creaked into life again, we prise ourselves into last years gym kit and forsake breakfast.

Before tally-hoing into this year’s trimness regime it is worth asking the questions,  ‘What has caused this tyre to  appear so suddenly around my midrift?  Will it all begone in 2 weeks?  If not, can I sustain living on 2 lettuce leaves and a carrot for more than 2 weeks?  Have I ever been able to do this in the past?’.
