A brief introduction to the link between the gut and the brain.  In some ways we already know of this link – hence the terms ‘gut feeling’ or ‘butterflies in the stomach’.

The following clip is a brief introduction to neurotransmitters.  As later blogs will expand on, many neurotransmitters are made in the gut from proteins.  This is another reason why it is important to have a good digestive system that can break down food into its component parts properly.

What we eat has a direct effect upon mood.  And neurotransmitter imbalance has a direct effect upon what we choose to eat.
